The Central Terminal Restoration Corporation would like to announce the election of two new board members, Kate Resetarits and Mark Lewandowski.

Kate is new to working with the CTRC, but brings a lot of marketing and local construction contracting experience with her. Kate is very enthusiastic about the building and the project, and we are looking forward to seeing things from a new set of eyes.

Mark (and family) have been working with the CTRC steadily for the past 3 seasons, and his experience with the project dates back to its inception in 1997. Mark is our main tour docent and an active member of the events committee. He brings years of financial and administrative experience to the group. We are looking to Mark to become Treasurer.

In other news, the board also approved the reelection of Russell Pawlak as President, Jeff Ingersoll as Vice President, Mike Miller as Treasurer, and Sara Etten as Secretary.

Also, new this year is the addition of "Emeritus" (honorary, but non-voting) board positions. Inducted into these new positions are Jim Mruk, long standing former board member and active building committee co-chair, and Dave Franczyk, also long standing former board member and current Buffalo Common Council President.

Tony Bylewski has been appointed as a committee chairman to assist with the restructuring of board by-laws, responsibilities and organization. Tony has many years of experience with non-profit organizations and in the administrative field. Tony, and wife Pat, have also been active members of the events committee for the past 3 seasons. We look forward to his professional input, as we continue to grow and learn.

It was a tough choice between the remaining applicants, as all were well qualified and enthusiastic about joining our group.

We are excited about our new structure and wish to welcome Kate and Mark, and to congratulate everyone on their board appointments. We are very much looking forward to another successful and enjoyable summer event season. Come on out and support Buffalo's favorite all-volunteer preservation project, the Central Terminal!

I was at the Terminal today so WNYmedia.net could record an interview with one of the Bring It Back To Life recording artists, Michael Bly. I was amazed at how dry the place is! Granted we haven't had that much snow this winter to melt, but the concouse was bone dry! I checked some of our more problematic spots as well and they were also dry! It's a testament to the continued hard work that our building committee members put in on a regular basis, even during the cold winter months where you can feel the Terminal sucking the heat right out of you.
