It's true!

As posted on buffalorising.com

"Bashar Issa spent over two hours yesterday touring the Central Terminal on Buffalo's East Side – the same time we were touring the DL&W. Why? Because he is fascinated with the city's architectural gems. I asked Bashar what his thoughts were... whether the building piqued his interest enough to purchase it and he said, "I like challenges... and the Central Terminal is a challenge." I then asked him what he would do if he were to purchase it and he responded, "That's the big question... what do you think Buffalonians would like to see there? We spent the good part of the day discussing opportunities."

I have a quick question. The windows that are on the left and right of the concourse which is the waiting room and the dinning room. Are you ever going to sand down the window slashes and paint them railroad green? Oh ya, you have to get rid of the brocken glass. But please spear the glass that was not brocken. Just to be cool and to save you money in the future.

This would make the Concourse more beautiful. Please write back.

You need scaffolding and warm weather to sand/paint the windows and it would be in the way for our events. I would have to say it's unlikely at this point. The metal sashes are very rusty and may not be salvagable.

As a conductor for CSX Transportation, lines west. I look at the terminal about every other day with mixed emotions. Much has been done to clean up the terminal, however much more needs to be done! The city of buffalo along with other not for profit groups could help the CTRC in it's efforts. I once mentioned to the WNYHS about possably displaying some of its rolling stock on the grounds of the terminal in an inclosed area or in the RPO bulding. Yes it would take money to do this but it would be well worth the venture!
